The experience

Curious about how recycled glass can become a work of art? Ever wondered what happens to glass once it’s recycled? You’ve come to the right place with this unique Skillit! Recycled glass is mechanically sorted by color, crushed, contaminants removed, and then scrap pieces of glass go into a furnace and are melted together at 2100 degrees. You’ll learn how this molten glass is blown into its new shape – and then try it yourself! You’ll leave this experience with a custom blown vase that you create and design with your family.
