At Skillit, our core mission is to help people improve life-skills and human connections. Through our SkillitForward program, we will invest in helping young women facing challenges develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in life. We learn better by doing and we want to make sure that our skillits not only open doors to a world of fun and great experiences but also learning both hard and soft skills, so that we improve soft skills such as courage, leadership, communication and team work to name a few.

For every in-person Skillit we sell, SkillitForward will help a young woman between the ages of 15 and 22 develop a skill.

  • Skillit will source and curate engaging and relevant 30-minute SkillitForward videos from Makers (including leaders, experts and celebrities from a variety of sectors)
  • Videos will focus on skills and knowledge that will help young women succeed. Topic examples:
    • Personal skills: building confidence, public speaking, problem-solving, time management
    • People skills: networking, negotiating, collaboration, managing conflict
    • Career skills: understanding how companies work, nailing an interview, becoming an entrepreneur
    • SkillitForward videos will be available online. Selected charity partners serving young women will have free, easy-to-deliver content to supplement existing programming.  Charities can select the videos that are most appropriate for their clients from our video “catalogue” to make available to their clients (Learners), who can view the videos on-demand. Charities may also organize group events for their clients to view the videos together, followed by facilitated discussion

SkillitForward aims to provide at least 100,000 free Skillits by 2030

We must give young people today the skills they will need tomorrow

"Young people should be at the forefront of global change and innovation. Empowered, they can be key agents for development and peace. If, however, they are left on society's margins, all of us will be impoverished. Let us ensure that all young people have every opportunity to participate fully in the lives of their societies." -- Kofi Annan
