Ever wanted to understand and be able to manage what’s happening under the hood of your car? In this interactive Skillit, bring your car and have our specialized auto tech teach you everything you need to know! Start off by learning about car maintenance including how to change your tires, conduct fluid and light checks. Next, learn about emergency situations such as how to plug a tire if it’s been punctured using the car’s safety kit, get out of a locked trunk, and jack up a car. We will provide an introduction into automotive training and how to be self reliant in case of a roadside emergency and what to do if you have an automotive emergency. Whether it is overheating, not starting or a random light appearing on the dash - you’ll know how to handle the situation. Bring your curiosity and questions to this experience.

I like to share my knowledge in the automotive world so people can be confident in their vehicles and make sure people can have someone to rely on for any automotive field questions and repairs and if you ever go to a shop that the consumer is not taken advantage of and gouged in prices and repairs.

  • You and your family will be provided with everything including protective overalls, eyewear and earplugs for safety, and all the necessary tools.
  • What to bring
  • Please bring your own car.
  • Class will be performed at the family's home and taught on the family vehicles so you can be familiar with your own vehicles
  • We recommend wearing clothing that you don’t mind getting an oil stain on as well as closed-toe shoes.
  • Tank tops, belly shirts, short skirts, loose clothing and open-toe shoes like sandals, flip flops and slides are not recommended for this Skillit.
